Good health and well-being is one of the sustainable development goals defined by the UN. As a key human right and a common aspiration in every society, health is also promoted actively by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), engaged in three main areas: the strengthening of health systems; the fight against communicable and non-communicable diseases; and the improvement of sexual, reproductive, maternal, neonatal and child health.
