Transitional Shelters for South Sudanese Refugees in Gambella, Ethiopia
The project is meant to provide a safe shelter to 800 families of South Sudanese refugees in Gambella Region, just few kilometers from the border, in Ethiopia.

AmAs project aims at promoting exchange, as also educational and scientific innovation by developing innovative distance learning methodologies (adaptive course and digital sonic mapping) between Switzerland (Locarno) and Brazil (Caxias do Sul).
Assessing the ecological health of the Karun river - Iran
Iran is currently facing severe pressures on freshwater ecosystems and their organisms. This project aims at understanding the impacts of these pressures in the Karun river system, particularly through the monitoring of invertebrate, fish and microbial communities as well as abiotic parameters. The resulting dataset will allow developing biotic indices to quantify consequences of impacts and identifying species that are sensitive and threatened.
Green it! Research and Training Centre for Appropriate Technologies
The project aims to create a Centre of Research and Diffusion of Appropriate Technologies near to the city of Hawassa(Ethiopia). The Centre will develop and promote easy-tech, reproducible efficient, culturally appropriate and socially productive solutions serving Southern Ethiopian rural and peri-urban communities.

CLARA: Arduino-based appropriate solution to disinfect water at community scale in Ethiopia
CLARA is a pilot system to improve water disinfection and to guarantee an adequate concentration of FRC. The system is composed by two ferro-cement tanks, aiming at avoiding lack of water due to frequent electric black outs, and an Arduino controller to automatically insert the right amount of sodium hypochlorite.
