In order to promote the development and growth of the local economy, the competences of the various research areas support the innovation of companies also through contracts and direct mandates for technology transfer.

Previous and current examples of collaborations cover the following areas:

  • Design of automatic processes
  • Design and development of cells integrating robots and automatisms
  • Programming of robots  and cell controllers
  • Components analysis and selection (actuators, sensors …)
  • Electro-mechanical design and development
  • Integration of 2D/3D Artificial vision & inspection systems
  • Development of embedded applications for data stream processing
Moreover a physical automation laboratory, equipped with several robots and modular production systems controlled by PLCs, supports didactic activities on the aforementioned technologies.
